Technical and recreational divers demand IN-HOUSE, fast, reliable, and the highest quality service available - we provide that - no questions asked.
Submerged, Inc. is able to provide all of that to our customers and more. Why not come to us for your equipment servicing needs as well. We feel that equipment should not sit around the shop for weeks before being repaired. The owners of Submerged wonder why some shops allow non-factory/manufacturer trained personnel to conduct gear repair and claim they have qualified technicians working on your gear. We promise that equipment brought in for service will be repaired and ready for pickup within one week from the date of drop off. All parts and supplies are in stock so that we can service your equipment promptly. Check out only a small list of what we offer... if it is not listed just give us a call because we have a solution for your needs.
Submerged can fulfill all of your gas fill requirements in one convenient location, no matter what your scuba diving gas needs are we can assist you. Submerged offers only the highest grade and quality gases that the industry has to offer. We use only aviators grade oxygen, ultra high pure helium, or oxygen compatible air when blending your gases. Whether you need air, nitrox, custom blended nitrox, trimix, oxygen, decompression gas mixtures, or argon we can fulfill your request. The best part of it all is that we have booster pumps to ensure you get a full fill which eliminates short fills you get at other dive shops. No other dive shop in the Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia area can offer the quality or range of gases that Submerged has to offer.
The majority of our fills can be conducted while you wait. We bank over 12,000cft of Nitrox 32, 6,000cft of oxygen compatible air, 1,000cft of aviators grade oxygen, and 600cft of ultra high pure helium to facilitate any fill you want. There is no need to drop your cylinders off two weeks in advance for your next big dive. If you are planning an excursion and you can drop cylinders off on Wednesday night and pick them up on Friday night before we close, that will allow us to ensure that the high pressure (3442psi) cylinders get that "full" fill pressure you want.

Divers who own both steel and aluminum cylinders know that they need to have their cylinders hydrostatically tested once every five years and visually inspected every year. One of the most over looked components of the cylinder, however, is the valve. The valve should be serviced at a minimum once every five years. Submerged believes that the best time to perform this service is at the time of the hydrostatic test. If you get valve service at same time as a hydro, you benefit by it being both cost effective and the shortest out of service period. Sometimes cylinders require tumbling in order to remove rust, corrosion, or for oxygen cleaning. Most dive shops in the Washington, DC region take weeks to provide this service, but we will have your cylinder back in a timely manner. There are no long waits for ANY tank related service provided in house.
Oxygen cleaning for cylinders and valves are conducted according to PCI/CGA standards. For more information on these services check out our oxygen cleaning section.
At Submerged, you can rest assured that our staff members have the most current training from the only Compressed Gas Association (CGA) approved training agency in the industry (Professional Cylinder Inspectors - PCI/PSI). This means that you will receive the best tank maintenance knowing that all the services we perform are done right the first time and returned to you on time.

Technical divers and advanced recreational divers require the use of greater than 21% oxygen concentration in their breathing gases. Because of this, the gear that these divers use must be serviced for this harsh environment. Oxygen can be a dangerous gas if mishandled, but rest assured that the service staff of Submerged has an extensive background with oxygen cleaning applications pertaining to diving and non-diving markets. We follow strict CGA standards for oxygen cleaning and servicing. Our staff has been trained by multiple agencies in the proper procedures for oxygen cleaning your equipment. Whether you need your deco regulator cleaned or your cylinders oxygen compatible for mixed gas blending, we can service your gear properly the first time. For your safety, we use only dedicated oxygen cleaned tools while conducting oxygen service work. Unlike most shops we have two sets of tools which is one more step to ensure the cleanliness of your system. If you are not sure if you need oxygen servicing ask our service technician here. Our oxygen cleaning rates are listed in the equipment service rates. Keep in mind that some items have surcharges for shop supplies.
