Recreational 2 Training enables you to go deeper, stay longer, experience more, and do it all safely. Rec 2 is the first level of training that introduces "critical skills," in which you will learn problem identification and resolution, building the capacity for progressively more challenging diving. The course also includes deep dives, the use of nitrox, and night dives.
Recreational 2 is composed of two parts. Part 1 is a personal skills component to prepare you for the critical skills components of the REC2 class. You will learn some additional skills that are not covered in Open Water training with which you will need to be proficient before taking Part 2. If you did not complete a UTD course for your Open Water training, you must enroll in an Essentials course prior to taking a UTD REC2 class. Students who have taken an essentials class are not required to take Part 1 of the REC2 class.
Includes two 4- hour sessions consisting of classroom training with dry runs, and pool sessions
This is the critical skills portion of the course and consists of the following components:
UTD Open Water plus REC2 part 1, OR Essentials of Rec training
Minimum 25 logged dives beyond Open Water
