Specialty classes are a great way to gain more knowledge and develop your skills in different areas of interest. Dive deeper, perfect your buoyancy, learn navigation or search and recovery skills, and much more! 

Not included in rates shown below: scuba gear, personal gear, pool and/or dive site admission or boat charter fee. Pool rental gear rate is $10 for a tank only, or $25 for a full set of gear. For training dives done in open water, standard daily rental gear rates apply.

Stop struggling with your buoyancy control. We will show you how to make it easy, reduce the amount of weight you are wearing, improve your trim, and teach you additional non-silting propulsion techniques. Dives can be completed in a pool OR in open water, depending on logistics or time of year. 

Minimum of 2 in-water sessions (can be completed in a pool).

Do you ever feel a little (or a lot) lost underwater, or wonder how the divemasters get you back to the boat so effortlessly? Wonder no more! In this class we teach you "natural navigation" techniques and also make some sense of that underwater compass.

Dry runs and 2 Navigation Dives

Instruction - $200

Gain experience at deeper depths while under the supervision of an instructor. Learn about additional considerations and planning required with deeper diving. Includes instruction for surface marker buoy use. Dives will be up to 100ft deep.

3 Deep Dives*

*This course is best completed on a Submerged trip to Florida or other destination with appropriate dive depths. Local dive sites meet standards, but overall education and experience will be far superior when we have more depth and no sharp thermoclines.

Ever lose something overboard? Take a Search & Recovery class and learn basic search patterns, and lift bag techniques.

1 Academic Session, 1 Pool / Confined Water session, and 2 Search & Recovery Dives.
